Located in one of the most sought after destinations on Kauai’s spectacular North Shore, our suites are just a few minutes from charming Hanalei town. On a beachfront road lined with stately homes and plantation cottages, we provide some of the only room-rentals in Hanalei. Hanalei Bay, the playground of surfing’s World Champions, is right across the street.

Surrounding our manicured courtyard is the fence to which we owe our name, lined with vintage surfboards spanning the past 50 years.  It is a showcase of both history and artwork. Other delightful and creative details on the property include a garden fountain, antique lawn sculptures, and a variety of tropical flowers. Distinct touches continue into our two guestrooms. The Elvis and Cowgirl rooms, as they are known, are each decorated with pieces of entertaining Americana.

Guests are responsible for any damage to the suite and it's contents during rental period.

The surfboard house gives you all the amenities to prepare your own breakfast, if you wish, we also offer great directions to the best breakfast place in town but we do not prepare it ourselves and breakfast is not included.

Check in is at 3 pm & Check out is at 11 am

Rates & Booking Periods:

$295 per night (Plus 13.25% Hawaii Tax and a one time $95 cleaning fee)

Pricing is based on single or double occupancy.

Advanced bookings accepted for 4 nights or more. Shorter periods available within 30 days of the booking only.

When booking a reservation 4 months or further out, there is a 7 day minimum stay.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations on bookings made 60 days or less prior to the booking are liable to a $100 cancellation fee.

Cancellations on bookings made 30 days or less prior to the booking are liable to the cancellation fee and for the full-price unless re-booked.
